Walking about Chania, Crete you stumble by
little shops and boutiques tucked
away on a side street or down a thin alley.
This rug shop is around the corner from
our studio. It has beautiful antique rugs.
Going inside is like solving a mystery.
The dark hole is lit by lanterns hung
from the ceiling. Woven secrets hang about
casting a red hue over their visitors.
